 MANUAL ACTUATURS FOR VALVES
The company CONFIND developed the fabrication of valve actuators starting with 1999. Whole ranges of quarter - turn
and multi-turn valve actuators are manufactured by CONFIND.

 QUARTER - TURN WORM ACTUATORS
CONFIND has developed the following complete ranges of quarter - turn actuators, designed for driving butterfly and ball valves :
- Worm actuators series RW: a series including 14 sizes (of which 5 sizes using a frontal gearbox RS), able to meet any requirements in the field of
output torques300 ... 35,OOONm;
- Worm actuators series RV: a series in two sizes, featuring an in put shaft locking system, for torques of 650 ...1,400 Nm;
- Declutchable worm actuators series RVD: a series of gearboxes allowing for alternative driving of valves pneumatic or manual.
Performant worm gears are used at the gearboxes RW produced by CONFIND the worm is made of case - hardened alloy steel, with the flanks ground, and the worm quadrant is
made of ductile iron. At series RW, the gearbox can be mounted onto the valve either, directly or by means of an adapter bush.
All series of worm actuators have grey cast iron housings.
MULTI-TURN ACTUATORS
CONFIND is currently producing two complete ranges of gearboxes, designed for driving gate valves with ascendant and non-ascendant stem :
- Spur gearboxes series ICR
- Bevel gearboxes series CR (with / without frontal gearbox RS)
At each of the two series, the gearboxes can deliver nut / bush driving torques with / without taking thrust forces.
Standard and Special Drives
The specialists of CONFIND are focused on the client requirements even from the design stage.
The bases of our designing are: 1 A thorough knowledge of the requirements for various valves from manyclients with whom we keep steady relations, and 2 A long
experience in designing and manufacturing speed gearboxes (including valve actuators).
To facilitate easy coupling between the actuator and the valve, the series RW is provided with adaptor bushes, enabling simple assembling onto any shapes of valve
stem end.
CONFIND actuators are produced as standard (catalogue) gearboxes. Special client requirements can also be met with CONFIND actuators , such as: non ISO flanges,
special materials for the housing and the input shaft, motorized versions, special protections, special designs for extreme operation temperatures, a.s.o.
Fabrication and Quality
Gearbox fabrication is organized in a specialized shop.
Performant machine tools are used for machining of gears: NC latches, bevel gear cutting machines using two cutter heads, hobbing machines for spur and worm gears,
worm grinding machines.
Housings are machined on milling machines and high-accuracy coordinate drilling machine.
CONFIND gearboxes are featuring a high technical and qualitative level, the company being certified ISO 9001. The main parts are technologically monitored by means of
surveying sheets and inspection plans. This way of operation ensures a rigurous observance of product standard exigencies.
The typical clients of the company CONFIND are well known valve manufacturers from Italy, The Netherlands and Germany. In a small extent, CONFIND gearboxes reach the
Romanian valve producer.
